Payment service providers in the Philippines
The Philippines went mobile-first through e-wallets: GCash and Maya are used by a majority of adults for bills, shopping, gaming and remittances. This page lists {count} payment gateways and payin payout providers working with Philippine peso (PHP).
Local payment methods in the Philippines
- E-wallets: GCash, Maya, GrabPay and ShopeePay — the default for online checkout and app top-ups.
- InstaPay (real-time, lower amounts) and PESONet (batch, larger amounts) for bank transfers and payouts.
- QR Ph: the national interoperable QR standard accepted by banks and wallets.
- Over-the-counter cash at 7-Eleven, Cebuana, M Lhuillier and pawnshops; cards for higher-income users; crypto via licensed exchanges.
Regulation
Banks, e-money issuers, remittance and virtual asset service providers are supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Gaming is licensed by PAGCOR; offshore gaming (POGO) operations were banned in 2024, and regulators have tightened rules on e-wallet links to online gambling. Check the current status of your vertical before onboarding.
Gaming, remittances and payouts
Licensed e-games and sports betting, remittances, lending, BPO payroll and marketplaces drive volumes. Payouts to GCash/Maya and bank accounts via InstaPay are widely used; compare limits per wallet tier, fees and speed. See payouts and e-wallet PSPs.
How to choose a Philippine PSP
- GCash and Maya direct integration vs aggregated access
- InstaPay coverage and payout success rate
- Over-the-counter network for cash customers
