Payment service providers in Colombia
Colombia was the first Latin American country to regulate online betting, and its checkout mixes bank payments, wallets and cash. This page lists {count} payment gateways and payin payout providers working with Colombian pesos (COP).
Local payment methods in Colombia
- PSE: online payments directly from a bank account — the go-to method for e-commerce, bills and betting deposits; see bank transfers.
- Nequi and Daviplata: mass-market mobile e-wallets; Bre-B, the central bank's instant payment system launched in 2025, adds interoperable transfers by key.
- Efecty, Baloto and other cash networks for unbanked customers.
- Cards with installments (cuotas), and crypto for remittance and P2P.
Regulation
Payment entities and banks are supervised by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC); the payment system is overseen by Banco de la República. Online casino and betting operators must hold a Coljuegos licence, and providers usually check this before onboarding. Foreign exchange operations follow central bank reporting rules.
Betting, iGaming and high-risk
Licensed operators look for PSE and wallet pay-in with instant confirmation and fast withdrawals to bank accounts and Nequi. Forex, crypto and other high-risk merchants should compare card approval rates and reserve terms.
How to choose a Colombian PSP
- PSE bank coverage and confirmation speed
- Nequi/Daviplata and Bre-B support
- Cash network reach and voucher expiry
- Payout fees and speed; settlement in COP vs USD/USDT
