Cashiers and payment pages

The cashier is the screen where a customer actually pays, so it has a direct effect on conversion. This subsection covers vendors of hosted payment pages, payment page builders, embeddable checkout widgets and casino cashier software used by iGaming, forex and other platforms with frequent deposits and withdrawals.

Hosted page vs full cashier

  • A hosted payment page is a checkout hosted by the vendor or PSP: the card data never touches your server, which keeps your PCI DSS scope small.
  • A cashier is broader: one interface that shows several PSPs and methods, saved payment details, deposit limits, bonus logic and withdrawal requests. It is often connected to an orchestration platform behind the scenes.

Features that move conversion

  • Local payment methods shown first by customer country, e.g. PIX in Brazil or UPI in India.
  • One-click repeat deposits with tokenised cards and wallets.
  • Automatic fallback to another provider when one declines.
  • Mobile-first layout, localisation and correct currency formatting.
  • Clear status screens for pending P2P or bank transfer payments.

For iGaming and high-risk

Casino cashiers usually add KYC triggers, responsible-gambling limits, withdrawal approval queues and segmentation of players by risk. Check how the vendor integrates with your KYC and antifraud tools and whether it supports the high-risk merchants you serve.

How to compare vendors

  • Ready connectors and how fast a new PSP can be added.
  • Pricing: licence, per-transaction fee or included with processing.
  • Customisation of design and flows without vendor involvement.
  • Analytics: drop-off by step, approval by method.
