When processing disputes, it is often hard to decide whether a transaction can be charged back to the merchant, or which dispute reason fits a given chargeback type. The session digs into scheme rules to help financial institutions understand the chargeback process and use it more effectively in their debit and credit card dispute handling.

Dispute and back-office teams at issuing banks and credit unions are the core audience. Acquirers, PSPs and chargeback management providers will also benefit from seeing how issuers are taught to interpret network rules — the logic behind the disputes merchants receive.
