About
ANFAP association is the Brazilian association of payment facilitators, the sub-acquirers and aggregators that sign up small and mid-sized merchants and plug into large acquirers to capture transactions. It grew out of an in-person meeting in January 2020 and now counts more than seventy members, among them names such as Mercado Pago, PicPay, EBANX and Acqio.
Why it exists Brazil's acquiring market is dominated by bank-linked players, so ANFAP acts as a voice for facilitators with the Central Bank and the competition authority CADE and pushes for more competition.
What members get The site publishes a map of facilitators and explains how members enable merchants to accept payments. Membership opens a Discord community, a WhatsApp group for founders, networking and committees organised by theme. Access follows approval of the application. Everything is in Portuguese.
Who should look Foreign PSPs entering Brazil can use the facilitator map to see who already operates in sub-acquiring, Pix and cross-border flows, and founders can see which topics the committees treat as priorities.
Payments angle
Brazilian sub-acquiring and facilitator regulation: the association speaks to the Central Bank and CADE, and its committees and facilitator map show who operates in Pix and card acceptance.
