Payouts and mass payouts

Many businesses send more money out than they take in through a checkout: marketplaces paying sellers, iGaming and forex paying withdrawals, affiliate networks paying partners, gig platforms paying contractors and freelancers. A mass payout platform takes one funding transfer from the business and splits it into thousands of individual payments to cards, bank accounts, mobile wallets or crypto addresses, with statuses and reports for each one.

What a payout solution usually includes

  • Bulk payouts API and file upload (CSV) for batch disbursements.
  • Payouts to cards (push-to-card via Visa Direct / Mastercard Send type rails where available).
  • Payouts to bank accounts through local instant rails: UPI and IMPS in India, PIX in Brazil, SBP in Russia, SEPA in Europe, ACH in the US.
  • Wallet and mobile money payouts — e-wallets, mobile money.
  • Crypto payouts in USDT for global contractors.
  • Recipient verification, name check, sanctions screening and tax documents where required.

How to choose a payout provider

  • Coverage: payout countries and rails, not just currencies.
  • Pricing: flat fee per payout vs percent, FX margin, minimum monthly fee.
  • Funding: prefunding in USD/EUR/USDT, how fast the balance is available (prefunding).
  • Speed and success rate: instant vs next-day, handling of returns and wrong details.
  • Compliance: who is the payer of record, KYC of recipients, reporting.

Payouts for specific use cases

  • Affiliate and partner payouts, payouts to self-employed and freelancers — often cross-border, see cross-border & FX.
  • Player withdrawals for iGaming and brokers — combined with pay-ins, often via P2P processing in GEOs with thin banking.
  • Marketplace seller payouts — split payments and escrow, see escrow.
