Payments for payday and online lenders

Payday lenders, microfinance organisations, installment and BNPL-style lenders need two flows that rarely sit with one provider: fast disbursement of loans and reliable collection of repayments. Because of regulatory scrutiny and high default-driven disputes, many card acquirers treat consumer lending as high risk and underwrite it carefully.

The usual payment stack

  • Disbursements: instant payouts to cards, bank accounts or e-wallets — compare payout providers.
  • Card-on-file collections: recurring and merchant-initiated charges for repayments (recurring payments).
  • Direct debit and mandates: direct debit, ACH in the US (ACH), SEPA in Europe (SEPA).
  • Local transfers and QR in emerging markets, plus open banking for account verification.
  • Account verification: card and bank-account validation before disbursement to avoid sending money to wrong or mule accounts.

What lenders should check

  • Licence requirements: providers may ask for your lending licence or registration per country; see payment licensing and compliance.
  • Retry logic: how failed repayments are retried without breaching scheme rules.
  • Dispute handling: collection-related chargebacks can be high; ask about ratio thresholds.
  • Payout speed and cut-offs per country.
  • KYC and fraud: identity checks and synthetic-ID detection (KYC, antifraud).

For providers

Lenders in this hub describe their GEOs, loan sizes and monthly disbursement volume. Open the Requests tab to see who is looking right now and reply, or publish an offer. Related verticals: financial services and high-risk.

Lenders can post a request with both pay-in and payout needs to reach providers that support the full cycle.
