Overview

Zodia Custody is an institutional digital-asset custodian created by the banks Standard Chartered, Northern Trust, SBI Holdings and National Australia Bank. Founded in 2020, it is headquartered in London.

Custody and settlement The company lists bank-grade cold and warm custody, Zodia Interchange for off-venue settlement and Zodia Gateway for staking and yield. With Interchange, assets stay with the custodian while the client trades on connected venues, so the full balance does not have to sit on an exchange. Zodia states that client assets are held in 100% segregated storage with protection from insolvency.

Jurisdictions The company names the United Kingdom, where it points to FCA, together with Ireland, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.

Who it suits Target clients are institutional investors, banks, asset managers and corporate treasuries; the service is not aimed at individuals. The commercial form is an institutional contract. Pricing, supported assets and onboarding requirements are agreed individually and depend on asset volume and the set of services.
