Tarabut is a regulated Open Banking and direct bank-connectivity platform in the Gulf countries (GCC), described by the company as the largest of its kind. It was founded in 2018.

Products The listed products are A2A payment initiation, IBAN verification, income verification and a Bank API Hub. Target users are banks, PSPs, fintechs, e-commerce and lenders.

Presence and partners Offices are in Dubai, Riyadh and Bahrain, and the markets named are Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain. The company names Alinma, SAB, Riyad Bank and ENBD among its bank partners.

Terms Tarabut works on an enterprise contract. The scope of the licences held in each of the three countries is not detailed here, so regulatory status and bank coverage per market should be requested.

A merchant or PSP that wants account-to-account payments instead of cards in the Gulf will look first at which banks are live in each country, since coverage by bank determines the share of customers who can pay.
