Overview
Sardine.ai is a fraud, behavioral and compliance platform for fintech, crypto and payments, founded in 2020 by veterans of Coinbase, Revolut and PayPal and based in San Francisco. It combines several products on one risk layer.
Fraud and device intelligence Device intelligence and behavioral biometrics read subtle interface signals to detect emulators, remote access tools such as AnyDesk and TeamViewer, VPNs and bots from micro-movements. A dedicated SDK also analyzes clipboard use and typing cadence, which helps against social engineering where a fraudster guides a victim by phone. ACH, card and crypto transactions receive risk scores.
Compliance and disputes A converged fraud-and-AML monitor covers card, bank (ACH, RTP, wire) and crypto activity, with automated SAR e-filing to FinCEN, sanctions screening and an AI copilot; AML rules can use device and IP data. A dispute module supplies session replay and device logs as CE 3.0 evidence, plus pre-dispute alerts and ACH return recovery.
Clients and fees Customers include crypto exchanges, on/off-ramps, neobanks, PSPs and iGaming in the US, UK and EU. Enterprise SaaS with per-call API fees.
