Kount is a digital fraud prevention and transaction scoring platform, Kount 360, built on its Identity Trust Global Network. Founded in 2007 and based in Boise, Idaho, it also covers chargeback handling.

Fraud prevention

The products include Kount Command for AI-based fraud prevention, device fingerprinting and account takeover protection. The company says it is integrated by default into many payment gateways worldwide, naming NMI, BlueSnap and Braintree.

Chargeback management

Midigator chargeback management sits in the same console. It handles unified prevention alerts, including Verifi and Ethoca, automated representment, fraud signal attachment and ratio forecasting. The company describes the combination as pre-authorisation scoring plus post-authorisation dispute management.

Markets and pricing

Target verticals are e-commerce, payment service providers, gateways, travel, telecom, gaming and subscriptions. Coverage is global. Fraud scoring is enterprise SaaS priced by transaction volume, while alerts are billed per alert. Rates are not published, so merchants should request a quote that reflects their expected volumes.
