GK8 (by Galaxy Digital) is a patented platform for fully cold storage, called the Impenetrable Vault, that can create and send blockchain transactions without an inbound internet connection, complemented by hot MPC wallets. It was founded in 2018, with offices in Tel Aviv and New York, and is owned by Galaxy Digital.

Products The product list includes a unidirectional air-gapped cold vault, high-frequency uMPC hot wallets, a tokenization engine, and DeFi and staking. According to the company, it is the only solution using a unidirectional optical diode, which it says gives complete protection from hackers.

Who it suits Target customers are banks, regulated custodians, exchanges and payment institutions, globally. Deployment is on-premise or hybrid under an enterprise licence, so the infrastructure sits with the client.
