Overview

FICO is the neural-network fraud scoring system from FICO, which the company says protects more than 2.6 billion payment cards worldwide. FICO was founded in 1956 and has offices in Bozeman and San Jose in the United States.

Falcon platform The product list includes the FICO Falcon Platform, real-time scoring of card and retail payments, consortium intelligence and scam detection. According to the company, it is the largest card fraud scoring system in the world, and its models draw on patterns seen across many institutions rather than on a single issuer's data.

Who it suits Target customers are tier-1 banks, card issuers, acquirers and national processors, with global coverage. These are organisations that score very large transaction streams and need decisions made in real time.

Deployment and licensing Falcon is sold under an enterprise licence, available as cloud or on-premise. Licence cost, volume tiers and implementation scope are agreed individually, so they should be clarified with the company during vendor selection.
