A US marketplace for digital goods has been running on Stripe Connect for about a year and is looking for a Stripe Connect alternative ahead of international expansion. The founder wants providers that can handle both payment collection on the platform and payouts to sellers abroad.
What is needed - marketplace processing for multiple sellers; - international transfers and vendor payments.
Geography The current market is the United States. International growth is planned, but no target countries have been named. A provider should therefore lead with the countries it can pay out to and the digital goods categories it accepts.
What is known The marketplace has been live for roughly a year; payment volume is not disclosed. Concerns about Stripe outside the US are relayed second-hand from other market players, not from a failure the founder experienced.
