A European group is launching a new online travel agency (OTA) and is choosing an OTA gateway for the launch. The key condition is industry experience: bookings, payments in several currencies and settlement with hotels and carriers. The request was published in April 2026.
Features required - multi-currency acceptance from travellers; - cross-border settlement; - payouts to suppliers such as hotels, airlines and tour operators; - fraud prevention and chargeback handling.
Why this matters for an OTA In travel, money often arrives long before the trip while the supplier is paid later, so the provider has to understand these cycles and the risk of cancellations. The industry is known for a high share of card disputes, which explains the separate ask for fraud protection.
What is known about the project No transaction volume has been disclosed. The post came from an intermediary, and the brand and launch stage have not been named. Operating countries are not specified either; the only known detail is that a European group stands behind the project.
