Monepik and consultant James Banguy are looking for Merchant of Record providers: PSPs that are currently open to new merchants and ready to serve them under this model. The request was published in July 2026.

What MoR is and why it matters Under a Merchant of Record model, the provider is the official seller to the buyer: it takes the payment and handles taxes, refunds and disputes, while the merchant receives revenue minus fees. Companies use it to sell into countries where they have no legal entity or tax registration.

What is needed - support for the Merchant of Record model; - active onboarding of new merchants; - payment infrastructure for their sales.

About the buyer The request comes from a consultant, not the merchants themselves, so their names, verticals and volumes are not shared. No countries are specified; the request is global. A provider should state which product categories and merchant jurisdictions it accepts now and how long onboarding takes. Both sides will confirm the onboarding window in the first call, and merchants go through standard KYB.
