A team building a talent and freelance marketplace is looking for escrow for a freelance marketplace: a licensed third party to hold funds. The main goal is to keep money for disputed projects longer than the current setup allows.
Current plan The team is considering Stripe Connect with separate charges and transfers: the client pays the platform and the freelancer is paid later. For disputed projects, however, the holding period may be too short.
Requirements - client pay-in and delayed transfer to freelancers; - milestone payments; - licensed custody of disputed funds or an escrow service.
Caveats The €500 figure is a hypothetical project example, not volume. The 90-day rule mentioned and commenters' regulatory advice are unverified. The request includes no legal advice; the right licensed structure needs separate review.
