A developer in Egypt is building a product for overseas customers and is looking for a Merchant of Record for Egypt or another legitimate setup. The goal is to take card payments in US dollars and receive the money in Egypt.
Requirements - USD card acceptance; - settlement and payouts to Egypt; - a Merchant of Record model or a suitable corporate structure.
Why this is hard Many global payment services do not open accounts for Egyptian businesses directly. A Merchant of Record solves this: the provider is the seller to the buyer, and the developer receives revenue as a partner. The author stresses that only legitimate options are wanted.
Stage The product is in development. Purpose, name and volume are not disclosed.
