Payments for crypto businesses
Exchanges, wallets, launchpads, crypto casinos, OTC brokers and Web3 apps all hit the same wall: banks and card acquirers treat crypto as high risk, while users expect to top up with cards and local methods and to cash out in fiat. This page collects crypto projects that need payment processing and the providers that serve them.
Typical needs listed here
- Fiat on-ramp: card and local-method deposits converted to USDT, BTC or ETH.
- Off-ramp and payouts: withdrawals to bank accounts, cards or wallets — see payouts.
- Crypto acceptance: invoices and checkout in stablecoins via a crypto payment processor.
- Settlement: receiving fiat volumes as USDT through stablecoin settlement or an OTC desk.
- Banking: crypto-friendly banks and EMIs for operating accounts.
How to choose a crypto PSP
- Licensing on both sides: does the provider require your VASP/CASP registration, and does it hold its own? See VASP licensing.
- KYT and AML: how incoming coins are screened and what happens to flagged funds (AML & KYT tools).
- Card approval for crypto MCCs: many acquirers block crypto purchases; ask about approval rates per GEO.
- Spread and fees: conversion spread often costs more than the stated percentage.
- Networks: TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, Solana, and confirmation times.
For providers
