An online store from Brazil runs a global storefront priced in US dollars and has already tested several gateways. It needs a working setup where Brazilian shoppers can pay without bank declines and the conversion to reais is handled correctly.
What is required - PIX acceptance; - bank card acceptance; - correct USD-to-local-currency conversion at checkout.
The difficulty When the price is in dollars and the buyer pays with a Brazilian card, the transaction becomes cross-border: banks decline more often and the final amount shifts with the exchange rate and foreign exchange tax. Local acceptance via PIX and cards in reais solves both problems, but requires a provider that can work with a storefront in another currency.
