An Algerian SaaS and digital products seller is looking for a lawful way to accept international cards and receive the revenue. After several provider rejections and banking restrictions at home, the founder wants a solution that does not involve bending the rules.
Requirements - Visa and Mastercard acceptance; - a merchant of record model; - payouts to the merchant.
Stage The product is being built and is not yet live on FastSpring; there is no volume. The founder plans to apply to Dodo, but there is no approval or integration yet.
A firm position The founder explicitly rejects schemes based on false foreign residency. The provider must be willing to onboard an Algerian merchant honestly, based on real details.
About the rejections The reasons given for rejections come from the founder, not from published provider policy.
Geography The merchant is in Algeria; customers are international.
Who it suits Merchants of record that onboard North African sellers and can pay out to countries with currency controls. A provider should explain up front how funds will reach the Algerian seller.
