Card payments in the directory

Bank cards are still the most universal online method: Visa, Mastercard, plus local schemes such as UnionPay, JCB, RuPay, Elo or Mir in their home markets. This page lists payment gateways, acquirers and aggregators that accept cards and, in many cases, pay out to cards.

How card acceptance works

  • Acquiring: a bank or licensed PSP signs the merchant (MID) and settles card transactions.
  • Gateway / aggregator: one API on top of several acquirers, often with cascading between MIDs to raise approval rates (see aggregators & cascading).
  • 3-D Secure for SCA and liability shift; non-3DS flows for specific low-risk cases.
  • Card payouts (OCT / push-to-card) for withdrawals, refunds and mass payouts.

What to compare between card providers

  • MDR / processing fee, fixed fee per transaction, chargeback and refund fees.
  • Rolling reserve, settlement delay and currency.
  • Approval rate in your target GEOs and BIN countries.
  • Accepted verticals and chargeback ratio limits (high-risk, iGaming, forex and nutra need specialised acquirers).
  • Local vs cross-border acquiring: local acquiring usually approves better.
  • PCI DSS scope: hosted payment page vs direct API.
