Payments FM community

Payments FM community is a private Slack group founded and run by Nikita Skitev for people who work with payments in practice. Membership is by application through a short form, and the house rules ban spam, unsolicited pitching and generic promotion, so the channels stay conversational.

Who is in the room The invitation names payment product, engineering, finance, operations, risk and fraud, billing, marketplaces, platforms, fintech and merchant payments. The tone is explicit: you do not need to be a payments expert, only curious, thoughtful and willing to learn or help.

What gets discussed Members swap notes on authorization rates, comparisons between PSPs, payment orchestration and routing strategies, chargeback reduction, interchange rules and the day-to-day operations of running payments.

Why payments people join A merchant deciding between processors, a product manager designing retries, or a risk analyst looking at dispute ratios can put a concrete question to peers instead of a vendor sales rep. The conversation is in English.
