Finance Innovation

The Finance Innovation cluster, formally NCE Finance Innovation, is a non-profit Norwegian fintech network based at Media City Bergen. It aims to deliver value to members by enabling infrastructure, strengthening the ecosystem and facilitating collaboration. It lists 90 member companies: banks, insurers, tech firms, entrepreneurs, investors and research institutions.

News and events The site is in English, while many news stories are in Norwegian. Current headlines include DNB using AI on customer calls, Vipps establishing a European payment company and Vipps expanding its partnership with Swedish fintech Klarna. Upcoming events are Oslo Innovation Week (19-23 October), the Volum Conference in Bergen (3 November), Slush in Helsinki (18-19 November) and the Norway Fintech Festival in Bergen on 13 April 2027.

Programmes Beyond membership, the cluster runs a Fintech Hub community and an incubator for companies from the idea stage to paying customers. Digital inclusion is also a theme, with student projects aimed at helping more people use digital services.

Finance Innovation is an affiliated ecosystem in the European Digital Finance Association. Payment companies looking at the Nordics can use it to see who is building what in Norway.
