About
Cardsmachines forum is a UK payments community run by CardsMachines for small businesses and anyone comparing ways to take card payments. It is moderated by Awais Amir, a payments consultant who works with takepayments and Global Payments and offers consultations.
Boards General boards cover card machines, POS and EPOS systems, e-commerce, payment links and rates and fees. Business boards deal with small business operations, careers in payments and funding and cash flow. There are provider-specific boards for takepayments, Global Payments, Worldpay, SumUp, Square, PayPal and Zettle, myPOS, Dojo and Stripe. A thread titled "Compare card processing quotes" shows the typical question: a merchant holding several offers and wanting to understand them.
Rules and extras Editorial starter questions prompt discussion. Member posts are reviewed before publication, and the site states it is not a whole-market comparison or official provider support. Free payment checks, card machine quotes and guides sit alongside the forum.
Why payments people read it Acquirers and ISOs can see what UK micro-merchants ask about rates, contracts and terminals, and the wording they use for fees.
