Overview

YAP Ghana is a licensed payment service provider supervised by the Bank of Ghana. The regulator places the company in the PSP Enhanced category, an extended status for payment service providers.

What PSP Enhanced means

The Bank of Ghana keeps a public list of approved fintech institutions and splits payment providers into categories. Enhanced is one of these categories; the exact scope of permitted activities is set by the authorisation itself. For a business, it means the counterparty has passed regulatory review and remains under supervision.

The contracting party is Yap Fintech Ghana Limited, a Ghanaian company entered in the Bank of Ghana register.

Methods and pricing

The company does not publish its list of payment methods, fees or commercial coverage. Ask for them when you apply: the provider will usually agree the document checklist for business verification, onboarding timing and integration format at the same stage.

Who it suits

Companies entering the Ghanaian market that want a local provider with a confirmed regulatory status.
