XMerchant is a merchant services provider and payment gateway that connects merchant accounts for adult entertainment businesses. It is one of the hardest niches for acquiring: many banks and PSPs refuse to work with it at all.

Why the niche is high-risk
Adult projects often run on subscriptions, face high refund and chargeback rates, and card schemes impose special content, verification and monitoring requirements on them. A provider therefore needs experience in the industry, and the merchant needs a partner that will not close the account at the first spike in disputes.
Fees
- standard rate — 3.99–4.25% of the transaction amount;
- for high volumes — from 3.25%.
The rate is higher than for regular retail, which is typical for high-risk verticals. Whether the pricing applies to a specific project is confirmed after the business is reviewed, and onboarding is decided individually.
