Overview
Xente is a payment service that helps merchants accept payments, connect payments via API and use the Merchant of Record model. The service suits companies that want to start selling quickly without building the complex legal and payment side themselves.

What Merchant of Record means
In the Merchant of Record (MoR) model, the provider officially becomes the seller in the transaction with the customer. It accepts the payment, handles sales taxes, refunds and disputes, and then pays the merchant the revenue minus its fee. For a business, this removes the need to register entities and tax accounts in every country where it has customers or to learn local payment rules.
Who it suits
The MoR model is convenient for digital products, SaaS services and content creators selling to many countries with a small team. Payment APIs help platforms that need their own checkout logic. Markets, fees and payout times are not listed on this card; they are clarified during onboarding.
