Overview
Walley is a payment service that gives merchants buy now, pay later (BNPL) checkout. The company works with retailers and online stores in Northern Europe.
How BNPL works The shopper places an order and receives the goods, then pays later, after an agreed period or in instalments. The seller is paid by the provider, while the BNPL service takes on non-payment risk and handles the customer's balance.
For a store, BNPL helps to: - lift conversion, especially on higher-priced items; - raise the average order value; - offer a payment option shoppers already know.
Why it matters in Northern Europe In the region, paying after delivery and splitting payments have long been normal for online shopping, and many shoppers expect to see such an option at checkout. A store without BNPL risks losing some customers at the final step.
