Overview

Telecom Credit is a payment processing company in the Japanese market. It accepts bank cards and suits a seller looking for a local processor to serve Japanese buyers.

What processing is A processor takes card details, sends them for authorisation to the issuing bank and card scheme, returns the response and settles with the merchant. For a business it is the technical base of any card acceptance, online or at the point of sale.

Methods Bank cards. No other payment methods are listed.

Why a local processor Local card schemes have a high share in Japan, and issuers tend to approve transactions routed through domestic infrastructure more readily. For a foreign seller with a Japanese audience this may mean fewer declines than with international acquiring.

Geography Japan.

Terms Fees, settlement timing, merchant requirements and integration formats are not published. When asking for an offer, check which card schemes are supported, whether foreign entities are accepted and how payouts work.
