The Square partner program has three tracks: publishing apps in the Square App Marketplace, building custom integrations for merchants, and bringing new businesses to Square. Each fits a different kind of partner.
Tracks - App developers publish their solutions in the Square App Marketplace, where Square merchants find them. - Solution partners build custom integrations with the Square API for specific merchants' needs. - Referral partners bring businesses to Square. This model needs no development work.
What the App Marketplace offers The app marketplace is a storefront where Square merchants pick extra tools for their business. For a developer it is a ready channel to an audience already using Square to take payments.
Terms Financial terms are not published for any track. They are confirmed after joining, based on the chosen role.
Who it suits Developers building software for retail, restaurants or service businesses get access to Square merchants. Integrators get custom work for specific clients. Consultants without a tech team get a referral model where recommending Square is enough. No country restrictions are named.
