Overview
shurjoPay is a payment gateway operating in Bangladesh. It connects local companies' websites and apps to cashless payment acceptance.
What a payment gateway does
A gateway captures payment details on the checkout page, sends them for authorisation to the bank or payment system and returns the result to the store. The seller does not have to integrate with each bank separately — one connection to the gateway is enough.
The Bangladesh market
E-commerce in Bangladesh is growing fast, and shoppers use both bank cards and mobile financial services. A local gateway usually knows the domestic infrastructure and regulatory requirements better than international providers, which makes launch easier.
Who it suits
- Online stores and marketplaces in Bangladesh
- Education and service platforms taking payments online
- Foreign companies selling to Bangladeshi buyers through a local partner
What to clarify
Payment methods, pricing, settlement times and integration format are not published. When you apply, ask:
- which cards and mobile wallets are supported;
- how quickly funds reach your account;
- whether ready plugins for your CMS and API documentation are available.
