The PayFac model
A payment facilitator onboards merchants on its own infrastructure and takes over part of the work with banks and card schemes. For a high-risk business this can be a route to accepting payments when a direct bank merchant account is hard to get.
Pricing
The cost is calculated from the business model and turnover. Card schemes may also charge a high-risk merchant registration fee, so include it in your launch budget.
