Overview
Scalapay is an instalment and BNPL (buy now, pay later) payment service for merchants. Shoppers can split the order total into several payments right on the checkout page.
How BNPL works
When choosing this option, the buyer pays for the order in parts on a schedule, while the store treats the instalment service like any other payment method. The BNPL provider usually carries the risk of the buyer not paying rather than the merchant — check the exact model in the agreement.
