Overview

Safepay appears in two markets, Pakistan and Australia, and the two offerings differ.

Australia: Safe Pay escrow The Australian Safe Pay combines money escrow with physical collection and inspection of a vehicle or another transported asset. Funds are held in escrow at Commonwealth Bank, and the partner inTraffic collects, holds and delivers the property once the agreed conditions are met. Services are vehicle escrow, asset escrow and conditional settlement.

  • Fee: a percentage of the deal amount, with a minimum fee of USD 250, paid by the buyer, the seller or split 50/50. The rate comes from a calculator or invoice.
  • Requirements: identity verification, agreed deal terms and VIN or PPSR checks for vehicles.
  • Legal entity: inTraffic Safe Pay Pty Ltd, which states ACN 651 296 141 and ABN 19 651 296 141.

Pakistan: payment infrastructure In Pakistan, Safepay is a payment infrastructure and orchestration service operated by Safepay (Pvt) Ltd. Orchestration sits between the store and acquiring banks, routes transactions and brings reporting into one dashboard. It targets local online stores, SaaS and digital services that need bank card acceptance.

Who it suits Buyers and sellers of vehicles in Australia who want a neutral holder of funds, and Pakistani merchants looking for one integration instead of bank-by-bank connections.
