Overview
Safaricom M-PESA is a mobile money service in Kenya with dedicated tools for businesses. Companies collect payments from customers' mobile wallets through a till, a Paybill number or their own API integration.
Business tools
- Business till — taking payments at the point of sale to the company's number.
- Paybill — collecting payments against a customer account, handy for utilities, schools, loans and subscriptions.
- API — accepting customer payments directly from your website or app with automatic confirmation.
Mobile money is the main cashless payment method in Kenya, so connecting to this network gives access to the broadest base of payers.
Regulation
