PAYUNi is a payment gateway serving the Taiwanese market. It fits online shops and services that need to accept card payments alongside the offline options local shoppers are used to.
Payment methods
- bank cards;
- UnionPay, the Chinese card scheme popular with buyers from mainland China;
- ATM, where the customer pays by transfer at a cash machine using issued details;
- convenience store payments: the buyer gets a code and pays in cash at the till.
This mix lets a merchant serve both people who pay by card online and those who prefer cash.

PAYUNi's pricing page lists 2.8% for UnionPay. Fees for other channels and withdrawal limits are set per method, so compare them against your own payment mix before going live.
Coverage
The service focuses on Taiwan. If you sell to Taiwanese buyers and want cards and store payments under one gateway, PAYUNi is worth shortlisting. Combining cards with cash options is especially useful for shops with a younger audience, where some buyers have no bank card.
