Overview
PayNow Taiwan is a gateway operating in Taiwan. It gives online stores the set of methods Taiwanese shoppers are used to, from cards to cash at the corner store.
Methods
- Cards — standard online checkout.
- Bank transfer — for buyers who prefer paying from an account.
- ATM — the buyer receives transfer details and sends money from a cash machine, a common way to settle online orders in Taiwan.
- Convenience store — the buyer pays cash at the till of a nearby store using an order code.
Why it matters
Taiwan has a dense network of 24-hour convenience stores, and many shoppers pay for online orders through them. A store that only takes cards loses customers who do not use cards online or prefer not to enter card details.
