Overview
PalmPay offers businesses payment acceptance, payouts and embedded financial products. Its confirmed market for business payments is Tanzania, where the company takes payments both online and face to face.

- USSD, which lets customers pay with short codes from a basic mobile phone, no internet needed;

- POS terminals at points of sale.
This mix covers an online shop and a physical till at once: buyers pay the way they are used to, and the merchant receives the money into one account.
Settlement and integration
Settlement in Tanzania is T+1, so funds for the day's transactions arrive on the next business day. Merchants can connect through an API, through POS hardware, or through the app when they want to start without development work.
Entity and licence
The group's Ghanaian company, Transsnet Payments Ghana Limited, is listed in the Bank of Ghana register as a PSP Enhanced institution. Commercial terms for merchants in Tanzania are agreed during onboarding.
