Overview
Merchant Processing Group, which also operates under the Secure E Payment brand, arranges a payment gateway and processing through partners. It helps businesses that struggle to find an acquirer on their own.
How it works
The company does not process payments itself; it acts as an intermediary. It reviews the client's profile, picks an acquiring bank or processor from its partner network and then connects the gateway. For the seller this means one contact instead of negotiating with several banks and building a separate integration for each.
Who it suits
- Companies that one or more banks have already declined.
- Businesses in higher-risk niches where acquirer requirements vary widely.
- New projects with no processing history that find standard underwriting hard to pass.
What to prepare
The intermediary will need a description of the sales model, turnover figures and, if available, past processing statements showing refund and dispute rates. The fuller the package, the faster a partner is found.
