Overview
Jaguar Payments is a payment gateway and merchant services provider. The company explicitly lists high-risk businesses among its clients, meaning projects that traditional acquiring banks often decline or put under tight restrictions.
What it does
A payment gateway connects a merchant's website or app to an acquiring bank and the card schemes: it takes the payment data, sends it for authorisation and returns the result. For the merchant this means one integration point instead of separate agreements with each bank.
Who it is for
- Merchants in high-risk verticals who need a provider willing to review such industries.
- Companies looking for a backup gateway in case their main bank stops processing.
Willingness to work with high-risk does not mean automatic approval: every application goes through underwriting that looks at the business model, chargeback history and documents.
What to discuss when onboarding
Payment methods, countries, pricing and payout timing are not published openly. Jaguar Payments sets these after reviewing a specific project, so an application should include a product description, volumes and target markets.
