Overview
Fintecture is a French payment institution, authorised by the ACPR (licence reference 17248 according to the provider), that helps merchants accept payments by bank transfer. The buyer pays directly from their account, and the money reaches the seller without going through card infrastructure.

Its focus is e-commerce, automotive and distance sales.
Why transfers rather than cards - large tickets: transfers are usually not subject to the buyer's card limits; - B2B payments: companies are used to paying from an account rather than with a corporate card; - fewer chargebacks, since reversing a transfer works differently from disputing a card transaction; - no card chain, so fewer intermediaries in settlement.
