What merchant acquiring is
Acquiring is the service that lets a shop accept cashless payments. The provider takes the customer's payment, runs it through the payment networks and pays the money into the merchant's account minus a fee. Merchant acquiring covers both physical points of sale and online channels.
The Malaysian market
Malaysian shoppers use cashless payments widely, and businesses operating in the country benefit from a partner with a local registration: contracts, settlement in ringgit and regulatory requirements are all simpler.
