Overview
Exact Payments, also known as E-xact, is an API-based payment gateway from Canada. Its key feature is ready-made connections to major North American processors and the ability to spread transactions between them.

Features
- card acceptance through a single gateway;
- routing between processors: transactions can be sent to different processors without changing the integration on the merchant's side;
- real-time reporting: merchants see transactions immediately instead of waiting for statements.
Who it suits
The gateway works well for companies in Canada and wider North America that already use one of these processors or want to keep their options open. If terms with the current processor get worse, you can switch to another one without new development. For developers and ISVs embedding payments into their products, the API-first setup is the main draw.
