Overview

ekPay is a payment aggregator operating in Bangladesh. The service has a dedicated merchant portal through which organisations sign up for payment acceptance.

What an aggregator does

A payment aggregator brings several payment methods and banks together in one integration. The merchant signs with the aggregator rather than with every bank and payment system separately. The buyer sees all available options on the payment page, while the seller receives funds from one provider with unified reporting.

Who it suits

  • organisations collecting regular payments from the public;
  • online stores and services with customers in Bangladesh;
  • companies that want to add several payment methods at once.

Why an aggregator helps in Bangladesh

Dozens of banks and popular mobile financial services operate in the country, and buyers use many different ways to pay. Connecting each channel separately is slow and costly, so an aggregator saves a business time on integration and reconciliation.

What to ask

The list of payment methods, pricing and settlement times are not public. Before signing up, ask for the list of supported banks and wallets and the settlement terms.
