Overview
EchoPay Technology is a UK company building payment infrastructure on open banking. Businesses accept payments directly from a customer's bank account and can send customers payment links.
Methods
- Open banking: the customer picks their bank, approves the payment in its app and money moves from account to account without a card. For merchants this is usually cheaper than card acquiring, and chargeback risk is lower because the payment is authorised in the bank.
- Payment links: the seller creates a link and sends it by messenger, email or on an invoice. No website or shopping cart is needed.
Who it suits
The solution fits UK companies that issue invoices, take prepayments or sell through chats: service businesses, freelancers and B2B suppliers. Payment links are especially handy when there is no online store and the payment needs to come in quickly.
