BridgePay is an independent payment gateway and provider of embedded checkout forms (BridgeComm and Hosted Payment Page), certified with more than 30 processors. It was founded, according to the company, in 2000 and is based in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

A gateway is the technical link between a checkout form on a website or at the till and the acquiring bank: it receives payment data, sends it for authorisation and returns the result. The secure payment frames isolate the merchant's own system from the scope of PCI DSS.
Who uses it
Target verticals are ISVs, retail, hospitality, GovTech and utilities. Retailers use a gateway to accept payments online, combine online sales with payment acceptance already running in their shops and get unified transaction data for accounting and reconciliation.
Markets and terms
The service covers the United States and Canada. Commercially it is SaaS plus a per-transaction fee. Before connecting, it is worth asking which processors fit the merchant account, whether modules exist for the merchant's platform and how fees are charged, per transaction or monthly.
