Tigo and QR for Bolivia: 5.5% pay-in, FTD and STD

A provider offers Tigo and QR acceptance for Bolivia: players pay deposits through the Tigo Money wallet or by scanning a QR code in their banking app. The offer for iGaming projects came out on 30 July 2026.

Traffic FTD and STD are accepted, covering both first and repeat deposits. Both methods can be used across the player journey.

QR method - pay-in: 5.5%; - amount: from 10 to 70,000 BOB (Bolivian boliviano); - settlement: T+3, 1.5% deducted.

Tigo method - pay-in: 5.5%; - amount: from 10 to 5,000 BOB; - settlement: T+3, 2% deducted.

Conversion rate Both methods use the Bolivian blue rate, the unofficial market dollar rate in Bolivia, plus 6%. This is a large part of the channel cost: the settlement deduction and the rate markup come on top of the 5.5% fee, so the merchant's total cost is well above the headline rate.

Choosing a method The pay-in rate is the same, but QR is cheaper at settlement (1.5% versus 2%) and allows much larger payments, up to 70,000 BOB. Tigo is handy for small phone deposits, with a 5,000 BOB ceiling. Offering both methods makes sense, with large top-ups routed through QR.
