Overview
AXES Payment is a payment processor operating in Japan. It processes card payments for merchants: it takes the transaction from the store, passes it to the card network and returns the authorisation result.

The core method is bank cards. In the Japanese market they are the baseline for online payments, and selling to local buyers without them is difficult.

A local processor usually knows Japanese bank requirements and market rules better, so approval rates with such a partner can be higher than when transactions are routed from abroad.
