Overview
Autobooks is a payment acceptance service built into a partner financial institution's online and mobile banking. US small businesses and nonprofits send invoices and collect payments right from their bank, without a separate payment provider.
Methods
- payment cards;
- ACH bank-to-bank transfers;
- Tap to Pay, contactless acceptance on a phone;
- payment links and QR codes;
- invoicing and payment pages.
Pricing
Typical published rates: cards 3.49%, ACH 1%. The actual rate is set by the partner financial institution, so it may vary between banks. Real-time deposit may carry an extra fee.
Settlement timing
Funds usually reach the customer's bank account within two business days.
Who it suits
The service suits small companies, sole practitioners and nonprofits that want to accept payments where they already bank, without opening a separate account with a payment provider. Access comes through a bank or credit union that offers Autobooks in its online banking.
